چکیده
An Engel sink of an element g a group G is set $${\cal E}(g)$$ such that for every x ∈ all sufficiently long commutators [⋯[[x, g], g],…, g] belong to . (Thus, precisely when we can choose E}(g) = \{ 1\} $$ .) It proved if profinite admits elementary abelian automorphisms A coprime order q2 prime q each {1} the centralizer CG(a) has countable (or finite) sink, then finite normal subgroup N G/N locally nilpotent.

Homotopy fixed points for profinite groups emulate homotopy fixed points for discrete groups
If K is a discrete group and Z is a K-spectrum, then the homotopy fixed point spectrum Z is Map∗(EK+, Z) K , the fixed points of a familiar expression. Similarly, if G is a profinite group and X is a discrete G-spectrum, then X is often given by (HG,X), where HG,X is a certain explicit construction given by a homotopy limit in the category of discrete G-spectra. Thus, in each of two common equi...
متن کاملa note on fixed points of automorphisms of infinite groups
motivated by a celebrated theorem of schur, we show that if~$gamma$ is a normal subgroup of the full automorphism group $aut(g)$ of a group $g$ such that $inn(g)$ is contained in $gamma$ and $aut(g)/gamma$ has no uncountable abelian subgroups of prime exponent, then $[g,gamma]$ is finite, provided that the subgroup consisting of all elements of $g$ fixed by $gamma$ has finite index. so...
متن کاملSome Remarks on Commuting Fixed Point Free Automorphisms of Groups
In this article we will find necessary and sufficient conditions for a fixed point free automorphism (fpf automorphism) of a group to be a commuting automorphism. For a given prime we find the smallest order of a non abelian p-group admitting a commuting f...
متن کاملFrobenius groups of automorphisms and their fixed points
Suppose that a finite group G admits a Frobenius group of automorphisms FH with kernel F and complement H such that the fixed-point subgroup of F is trivial: CG(F ) = 1. In this situation various properties of G are shown to be close to the corresponding properties of CG(H). By using Clifford’s theorem it is proved that the order |G| is bounded in terms of |H| and |CG(H)|, the rank of G is boun...
